“The Crusaders have crushed their opponents all season. Their latest onslaught came at home on senior night as they blitzed past West Florida 21-1 on Friday from Gorecki-LeBeau Stadium.”
“Christiansen is one of numerous newcomers that has bolstered the Catholic roster.
Born in Pensacola, the junior middle lived in north Georgia before moving back to the 850 in 2021. Last season, she played for Booker T. Washington, but chose to transfer for her junior year.
Senior defender Alyssa Bernhardt recalled when Christiansen had a shadow visit at Pensacola Catholic.
“All the lacrosse girls sat with her at lunch,” Bernhardt said. “We all talked and she ended up liking it here. We had her join the team and it’s been really fun.”
Christiansen appears to have made the right decision. She leads Catholic with 56 goals.
“I think I’ve performed really well,” she said. “I didn’t expect to come in here and be the top scorer. … It’s a really good accomplishment for me, I love it. It makes me want to help more with the freshmen and sophomores. It makes me want to push them so they can achieve the goals they want to achieve.”
In addition to a scoring touch, Christiansen brings loads of experience. She played the sport for nine years while Frosch has held a lacrosse stick for seven years. ”
