Pensacola Catholic (HS) – Spring 2023
Coming Soon!
What can I say about this season? I guess, one word, WOW! It was a season of firsts. Our school won its first district title. We beat Gulf Breeze for the first time. We made it further in the playoffs than ever before. Our coach, Chloe McMillion won All Area Coach of the Year. Julia […]
My 1st summer playing lacrosse in the Pensacola area gave the me opportunity to evolve my skillset and add new skills. I continued to be the leading scorer as the primary draw middie and played at least 90% of each game due to necessity (my team needed me). In the 2021 ATL Classic, I scored […]
After living in Georgia for the past 15 years, my family moved back to Pensacola. With lacrosse being fairly new in the panhandle area, I will be facing a different challenge. Playing with a helmet!!! Just kidding. Although that is different for me, my personal challenge is how to pass on knowledge and experience that […]
You know what they say. If you want to be the best, play with the best. So, I tried out for the Eagle Stix fall travel team and was invited to play with the 2023 Blue team. After years of playing against this top group of girls and Georgia’s premiere girls lacrosse club, I was […]
This was the first summer travel season with Grizzly Elite and it gave me a chance to continue to mesh with the other members of my high school team. The season started off slow with a subpar showing in our first tournament, but ended with a bang when we won the last two tournaments. Those […]
I had high hopes for this year. My main goal was to make the varsity team during my freshman year, continue to grow my skills, and gain more experience. Good news is that I did make the varsity team and also floated down to the JV team when needed. Bad news is that I broke […]
As a member of the 11 player house team blue, I had the privilege of playing with some great talent and upperclassmen from around the east coast. I was honored to be coached by Duke’s #10 Anna Callahan and #13 Maddie Johnston. Under their coaching, our team meshed and we were able to compete at […]
Another summer as a Lady Laxer. This was the first year with the high school team and as a rising freshman, I was separated from the girls that I had previously played with. This was a challenge to mesh with a fresh new set of teammates. Overall, the season was successful. We did not dominate […]
As an 8th grader playing at the junior varsity (JV) level, I was excited to play with high school rules and against older girls which would give me the chance to advance faster and prepare me for the next level. This season was a huge success. We went undefeated for the regular season with our […]
It’s rec season again and even if the level of play is not as high as summer and spring select, I plan on using the season to improve my leadership and work on advancing my skills and aggressive play. Over the season I became more comfortable with the draw and “taking” it to the goal […]
I tried out for the 1st time for the National Lacrosse Classic (formerly known as the Brine National). I made the team for the Georgia region and will be playing this July in Delaware. To be continued…. National Lacrosse Classic
After playing a few seasons at the U15 level in other organizations, my parents and I made the decision to come back to my home team to re-familiarize myself in preparation for JV next year and high school the year after. Overall, the season was a success as we earned the #1 seed for the […]
After playing with the Lady Laxers over the summer, I was invited to play for their home rec team, West Forsyth for the fall. During the season, I played middie and then rounded out the season as defense. We went undefeated for the season.
After seeing the Lady Laxers dominate the previous summer, I wanted to try out and see if I could make their team. I successfully did and was able to play up on their U15 team. I played on the 2nd rotation middie team. We competed in tournaments at Roswell (GA), West Chester (PA), Emerson (GA), […]
Looking to improve my skillset further, I tried out for the Blessed Trinity Junior Titans girls lacrosse team. I made the team and had the opportunity to play middie full time. We went undefeated for the 10th year and won the league championship.
I continued to play up each year and this year was no different. As a 6th grader, I was playing on the U15 girls team.
LB3 decided to move their program across the city so I had to find a new home for summer travel. My parents contacted Hotlanta and asked if I could try out and play up on the U13 team. I made the team and continued to advance my skills. We played at tournaments in Peachtree (GA), […]
Going into my 2nd year with the Creekview Grizzlies, I found my spot as full time defense. I have become a well rounded player on both sides of the field, but my team needed me at defense. We won the Newtown Championship against Sequoyah.
This was my very first try-out for a summer travel team. As a 4th grader, I made the U13 team for LB3. Go me!! I played defense and found that my skills grew a lot during the summer. We played tournaments in Peachtree (GA), Raleigh (NC), and Decatur (AL).
This is my 2nd season playing and I can already tell that this is my sport. I have found my spot on defense and continue to grow.
This was the beginning of my lacrosse career. I joined the Creekview Grizzlies U11 girls lacrosse team during my 4th grade year. I played every position including goalie during my first season. I ultimately ended up playing defense the majority of the time as this came naturally to me.
